Imagine a possibility where you could talk to a friend, a family member or even a celebrity online at any time – even when they’re dead? The video, by Tom Scott in the UK, is entirely fictional. But, if you think about it, the very fact that Facebook could build an model based on the information you submit isn’t entirely far-fetched as it seems.
Don’t worry, this isn’t meant to freak you out about Facebook and “oh, it’s evil with privacy”. It’s actually more about awareness on what you post (because, dear God, there are things that I don’t really need to know). We pour everything on these Facebook – from what are we doing now, to where are we now, and everything in between. Whether that is a good thing, or a bad thing – it is too soon to say.
