Chrome for iPhone and iPad announced, available right now

Google Chrome has just been announced for iPad, iPod touch and iPhone, with the app expected to become available today and featuring the same functionality as its Android counterpart.

Working on iOS 4.3 and above, the browser could very possibly get a much wider audience on Apple’s successful mobile platform, mainly because of the fragmentation on Android and the small userbase for Android 4.0, which is required on that platform.

Not only does the app have Chrome Sync, but it’s available right now here on the App Store.. It’s a great achievement, for Google and Apple, who let it on, and we’ll be giving our full impressions on the TECHGEEK Weekly podcast this Sunday.
