HP has announced, along with the Pavilion dv2 and the HP Firebird with Voodoo DNA, the Pavilion dv3. It features a 13.3” widescreen display, a backlit keyboard, a webcam, and also a sleek, bronze look that simply looks marvelous. It does come with Windows Vista, but either in Ultimate, Home Premium or Business.
According to its stats, the processor, hard drive capacity and wireless technology support is up to you – with a huge range of choices. For the processor, you can choose between a variety of AMD’s Athlon or Turion chipsets; for the hard drive capacity, you choose from a 160, 250, 320 or 400GB hard drive; and for the wireless, you can have it with Bluetooth or not, and you can have it supporting the WLAN 802.11n standard or not.
It can hold up to 8192MB of DDR2 RAM; and has an ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphics card, an eSATA port, HDMI input, a VGA port, and is one of the laptops that will have the Sling Media Player inside the computer, preinstalled – which is great if you have a Slingbox.
