Oh Canada! HTC might not be happy with you. One of the country’s telcos – Rogers – has leaked out the specs of the new HTC One (M8), which the company is expected to announce in a press event at 2am tomorrow.
From what we can gather from the Rogers leak, the HTC One (M8) features a 5-inch 1080p Super LCD display, an “Ultrapixel” camera and a 5-megapixel front facing camera, and 32GB of internal storage. The addition of a 5-megapixel front facing camera is odd, but most likely plays a part in a feature called Duo Camera, which allows you to use two cameras “so you can choose what parts of the scene you’d like to emphasise, even after your shot has been taken”.
According to Rodgers, the new HTC One has been “created from a zero-gap all metal unibody” that “make it a pleasure to hold and use, while the big screen makes navigating its many features almost second nature. Its also so intuitive, it seems to know what you need almost before you do. Enhanced gesture recognition makes access to your phone faster and easier.”
Pricing, according to Rogers, is CAD$649.99 (or AUD$636.03). However, we will find out more about Australian availability when HTC Australia announces their plans for the HTC One (M8) at their own press conference on Thursday.
