Bloomberg has reported that sources close to the matter are saying that a PSP2 launch will be happening next week. Now, this is no surprise, seeing as details on the device have been floating around the tech world for, literally, years and Sony Computer Entertainment Japan is hosting an event next week in Tokyo. In my opinion, it’s very likely.
Bloomberg also says that the event will, “outline a strategy to use its networked entertainment services to share games, movies and music among handheld products, TVs and other devices.”
The sources also say that the PlayStation Phone, also rumoured for some time now, will be unveiled at Mobile World Congress.
No more details on the actual devices, but it sounds like this is going to be a big year not just for the PS3, but in fact the entire PlayStation year.
Of course, as always, these are rumours and nothing is entirely confirmed, but they both certainly sound plausible.
