Bioware announces new Mass Effect 3 DLC

Mass Effect CiEarlier today, BioWare announced two new DLC for their world-acclaimed game, Mass Effect 3, entitled Mass Effect 3: Citadel and Mass Effect 3: Reckoning.

Mass Effect 3: Citadel will follow Commander Shepard throughout the Citadel, trying to uncover a sinister conspiracy aimed at them. Throughout the story, players are able to meet familiar faces from earlier games, including the Krogan Battlemaster, Urdnot Wrex. Additionally, the DLC will add new places within the Citadel, such the Silver Coast Casino, allowing players to try their luck; fight within the Armax Combat Arena, or even decorate their living quarters; while revisiting old places, like the Citadel Wards and the Council Archives.

Reckoning1Mass Effect 3: Reckoning adds new characters, weapons, and weapon modification in multiplayer. Upcoming playable characters are a Geth Juggernaut, Cabal Vanguard, Talon Mercenary, Alliance Infiltration Unit, and a Krogan Warlord. The Krogan Warlord is able to smash through enemies with its Biotic Hammer. Other details on the other characters have not been announce.

The DLC will include seven new guns to players’ arsenal, such as the Geth Spitfire Assault Rifle, the Venom Shotgun, and the Lancer Assault Rifle. Additionally, several weapon modifications have been announced; like the Geth Scanner, and an Assault Rifle Ultralight materials.

Mass Effect 3: Citadel will be release worldwide on March 5 for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC for 1200 Microsoft Points, $14.99, or 1200 BioWare points. Mass Effect 3: Reckoning will be release worldwide for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on February 26 for free.
