Batman: Arkham Knight announced for later this year

Rocksteady Games have just announced their upcoming project, Batman: Arkham Knight, acting as the finale of the critically acclaimed Batman: Arkham series. The game will featured the return of Scarecrow, who apparently survives his encounter with Killer Croc after Batman: Arkham Asylum, uniting Batman’s greatest foes for one giant act – to destroy the Dark Knight forever. The announcement trailer is located at the bottom.

Also returning from previous games are the psychopathic Harley Quinn, the dual-personality Two-Face, and the criminal mastermind Penguin. In addition, the game will feature a new gameplay mechanic – a drivable Batmobile.

The game is set for a worldwide release sometime in 2014, available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. Moreover, a playable Harley Quinn will be available for anyone who pre-orders the game.
