Although a sequel may not be too surprising for those gamers who delved into 2011’s “Batman: Arkham City” the release of 15 domain titles recently purchased by TimeWarner of which Warner Bro’s is a subsidiary would suggest the possible names of a future game. The 15 domain names are featured below:
- ArkhamUniverse.com
- Batman ArkhamUniverse.com
- BatmanArkhamArises.com
- BatmanArkhamBegins.com
- BatmanArkhamDarkKnight.com
- BatmanArkhamKnight,com
- BatmanArkhamLegend.com
- BatmanArkhamLegends.com
- BatmanArkhamNight.com

- BatmanArkhamStories.com
- DarkKnightArkham.com
- DCArkhamUniverse.com
- DCArkhamverse.com

Although many of these titles may point to a sequel for the franchise along with all the hints Rocksteady dropped during the story of Batman Arkham City. Many of these could point to a prequel to the series possibly a throw back to the 1950’s comics revolving around Batman’s first interaction with the Joker in the ‘Silver Age.’
I personally would like to see a sequel but with the successes of Batman: Arkham Asylum (2009) and Batman: Arkham City (2011), Warner Bros. may be trying to gain a little more revenue from the series before ending it with the sequel. Upcoming events like GDC and E3 will hopefully shed more light on the future of the Batman Arkham series.
