ASUS has announced a new FonePad model called the FonePad Note; and compared to the one announced back at February this year at MWC, the Note gets a size downgrade. It features a 6-inch Full HD IPS+ display, a dual-core Intel Atom processor and a stylus for you to write down notes or sketch drawings; ASUS promises to merge work, play and your social life.
Other hardware specs include an 8-megapixel camera, a front-facing camera, and SonicMaster sound technology to provide high-quality sound; it does run on Android 4.1.2. Interesting thing to note is that the phone does not support 4G – it only has 3G data. Given that, it is likely this phone is heading towards developing markets and probably will be limited to Asia.
Pricing and availability have not been confirmed by ASUS.
