While Apple is rumoured to release a tablet, and rumours of HP and Microsoft creating a rival to that; HP is reminding us that they are the place for tablets – despite not a lot of their laptop portfolio are laptops – by releasing another tablet computer, the TouchSmart tm2.
This features an Intel Core 2 Duo processor and has an option to use an ATI Mobility Radeon graphics card; and is claimed to have up to nine hours of battery life. Along with that, it features a digital pen, and will come with Corel Paint it! Touch, so you can draw and express your creative side – though, you can actually use your fingers. It also uses a custom interface similar to that found on the tx2 and the HP TouchSmart PC, and will also offer a Netflix and Hulu applications so you can watch television shows and movies with a simple touch.
It is expected to hit store shelves and HP’s online store on January 17 with a starting price of US$949.
