Apple announces its "Black Friday" sale

Mark this on your calendar, Apple’s annual Black Friday sale is on again. The company has announced quietly on its Apple Store online that it will hold a “special one-day Apple shopping event” on November 25 – which is Black Friday.

It has not revealed what are the discounts, but don’t expect it to be much. Apple is notoriously known for having minuscule discounts. Last year’s event saw the iPad reduced by $51, and the iPod touch by $25.

Yes, their deals are pretty crappy.

However, if you’re looking for accessories, they offer good deals. But that’s because they don’t really make money from third-party accessory makers.

For those new to this: Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving and it is the “official” start of the Holiday Shopping Season since most retailers start their price discounts on that day. Online retailers, however, see a big boom the Monday after “Black Friday”  as people found it more convenient to shop from home.

Check back on November 25 to see any Apple deals that are worth getting.
