The iPhone 5C has finally been announced by Apple at their event today in Cupertino. Apple’s Phll Shiller unveiled the new iPhone 5C which looks identical to the leaks we’ve seen over the past few weeks posted all over the internet.

The iPhone 5C has a 4-inch Retina display, an A6 processor, 8 megapixel rear camera, and an improved FaceTime HD camera for the front. According to Apple, the iPhone 5C will have “more LTE bands that any other smartphone in the world.” During a video detailing the design and manufacturing process, Jony Ive says the “iPhone 5C is beautifully, unapologetically plastic.”

Apple has also created custom cases for the phone, made with silicon rubber which will slip onto the handset for just $39 (AU pricing).

The iPhone 5C will be available in Blue, White, Pink, Yellow, and Green. It will be available in 16GB and 32GB variants for $739 and $869 respectively. You can pre-order the iPhone 5C on the 13th of September but the device will be available on September 20 in the US, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Japan, Singapore, and the UK on September 20th.
