Another leak, Last.FM confirms some passwords stolen

After revelations that LinkedIn and dating site eHarmony had reported data thefts, a third site – music recommendation site Last.FM – has also come forward saying that some passwords have also been leaked as well.

“We are currently investigating the leak of some Last.fm user passwords,” the site said in a statement issued to all users. ” As a precautionary measure, we’re asking all our users to change their passwords immediately.”

“We strongly recommend that your new Last.fm password is different to the password you use on other services.”

Three sites within two days – something is going on. The three data leaks are probably unrelated. However, it will be wise to a password changing exercise.
